CT HEALTH SCREENING SERVICES

Heart CT
• An important Health Screening Exam that will let you know how your heart “measures up.”
• Presence of calcification buildup may indicate the development of coronary artery disease.
• Physician Referral not required but encour-aged for possible insurance coverage.
• Patients can self refer if:
- Male over 40 or
- Female over 45 with one or more of the following Cardiac Risk Factors:

Lung CT
• An important Health Screening Exam that is 10 times more likely to detect “malignant lung disease.”
• Detects abnormal growths and nodules undetectable with tradition x-ray.
• Physician Referral Required.

• Active Tobacco Smoker
• Exposure to Secondhand Smoke
• Exposure to other Carcinogens, such as Asbestos, Radon, or Pollution
• Ex-smoker

Carotid Ultrasound
• An important Health Screening Exam that
   identifies the extent of plaque within the
   major arteries and veins of the arms, legs
   and neck.
• Determines the degree of narrowing vessels
   and detects possible blocked or reduced
   blood flow.
• Physician Referral Required.
